A welding task data model for intelligent process planning of robotic welding

Nowadays, as an efficient and automatic welding machine that accepts and executes human instructions, welding robots are widely used in industry.
However, the lack of intelligence in process planning makes welding preparation complex and time-consuming.
In order to realize intelligent process planning of robotic welding, one of the key factors in designing a welding task data model that can support process planning.
However, current welding task models have some drawbacks, such as inaccurate geometry information, lacking information on welding requirements, and lacking consideration of machine-readability and compatibility.
They cannot provide sufficient information for intelligent process planning. In this paper, a welding task data model, which includes information on accurate geometry, dimension, and welding requirement, is presented to solve these problems.
Firstly, through requirement analysis, necessary information items of a welding task data model are analyzed and summarized.
Then the welding task data model is designed in detail by using EXPRESS. The feasibility of proposed welding task data model is demonstrated through creating the welding task file of an automobile front door subassembly.
Moreover, an application framework of the welding task file is presented. Results show that the proposed welding task data model is feasible for supporting intelligent process planning and information integration of robotic welding.

Evolutional Methods for Creating Artificial Intelligence of Robotic Technical Systems

This paper considers evolutionary methods of symbolic regression for the creation of artificial intelligence of robotic systems.

Methods of symbolic regression are reviewed and the features of their application to the solution of the problem of synthesis of control of robotic systems are indicated.
The measure of the complexity of artificial intelligence is determined and the advantage of using the principle of small variations of the basic solution are shown while creating intelligent control systems.

A method of variational analytic programming is described and an example of its use for the synthesis of intellectual control is given.
LONGDOM Conferences will offer delegates the chance to be completely informed on the present circumstance inside the organic framework and increase a report on the most recent improvements regarding specialized arrangements and financing.

A survey on machine learning for data fusion

Data fusion is a prevalent way to deal with imperfect raw data for capturing reliable, valuable and accurate information.

Comparing with a range of classical probabilistic data fusion techniques, a machine learning method that automatically learns from past experiences without explicitly programming, remarkably renovates fusion techniques by offering the strong ability of computing and predicting.

Nevertheless, the literature still lacks a thorough review of the recent advances in machine learning for data fusion.

Therefore, it is beneficial to review and summarize the state of the art in order to gain a deep insight into how machine learning can benefit and optimize data fusion.

In this paper, we provide a comprehensive survey of data fusion methods based on machine learning.

We first offer a detailed introduction to the background of data fusion and machine learning in terms of definitions, applications, architectures, processes, and typical techniques.

Then, we propose a number of requirements and employ them as criteria to review and evaluate the performance of existing fusion methods based on machine learning.

Through the literature review, analysis and comparison, we finally come up with a number of open issues and propose future research directions in this field.

Public relations and artificial intelligence: It’s not just about robots

Organizations of all kinds, as well as their in-house or agency public relations teams, increasingly co-opt Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance their capabilities.

This paper examines a relatively new topic that has received little scholarly attention: the growing relationship between AI and public relations.

It outlines several key roles that AI may play in future, based on trends in other industries, and considers the implications for public relations practitioners, their clients, and employers.

It, therefore, launches a dialogue about the diversity and extent of AI’s uses in public relations practice.

The paper argues that, to date, commentators have placed too much emphasis on AI’s potential for task automation; AI’s broader technological, economic and societal implications for public relations warrant greater critical attention.

This does not imply that practitioners need to become expert technologists; rather, they should develop a sufficient understanding of AI’s present and potential users to be able to offer informed counsel.
